When I was ten
We got separated into classrooms, asked to sit
And we just started talking about what's gonna happen to us
Felt like it was the end of the road, it's boys to men
I was mature about it but

I still have some questions, need to learn these lessons

Sixth grade
Blood on my lips and tear stains
Bell indented left a brass taste
Next day there's a smile on her face
Messed up
Got good grades, clean record
Nice kid, I was never better
Get home, turn into the devil
Spit fire on those who knew me better
High school into adulthood, man I thought I would fit in
I guess I did but something still always just felt amiss man
Try to find myself but then it hit me like a brick
I'm still that same kid with the blood up on his lips
